Sauna
GUIDELINES FOR USING THE SAUNA
The sauna at PanoramA 1474 heats up quickly and is easy to use.
It's always a good idea to read the user manual before you are freshly showered and ready to enjoy a sauna session. The on/off switch is located next to the thermostat at the side of the stove. The stove is equipped with a timer, so you can't forget to turn it off.
Most people can use the sauna, but small children, people with open wounds, or those with heart problems should avoid it. For everyone else, common sense is your best guide.
HOW TO USE THE SAUNA
The most common mistake is trying to make the sauna as hot as possible. While many Norwegians are accustomed to saunas at 80-90°C with 10% humidity, this can be too intense for long sessions. A temperature of 65°C with 35% humidity is much more comfortable and allows you to enjoy the experience for a longer time. If you choose to pour water on the stones, do it slowly. Allow the water to evaporate from the stones and not run through the stove.RELAX AND ENJOY LIFE
The sauna is a place for relaxation. In other words, it is a place for both mental and physical cleansing. The sauna should be comfortable to sit in – if it's not, it may be too hot, too humid, or too dry. Experiment with different settings until you find what works best for you. -
Jacuzzi
There is a spacious Jacuzzi in the large spa area on the second floor, which you are welcome to enjoy. Please note that the bubbles should not be turned on until the water level is above the jets, to ensure everything works properly.
After using the Jacuzzi, we kindly ask that you clean it thoroughly so it’s ready for the next user. You can use a sponge and cleaning products to do this easily and effectively.
To maintain the function and safety of the Jacuzzi, please remember that glass, bottles, cups, and other breakable items should not be brought into the Jacuzzi. We greatly appreciate your respect for this, so everyone can enjoy a clean and safe experience.
Thank you for helping keep the chalet a pleasant and well-maintained place for all!

Play music or listen to the Radio
We have a Bluetooth stereo system permanently installed on the second floor, with speakers in both the dining room and living room at PanoramA 1474.
To use it, simply enable Bluetooth on your mobile device and connect to "Belkin." You can then play music from your mobile, tablet, or PC. For listening to the radio, we recommend using the NRK app.
Please note: Do not change any settings or move the amplifier, as it can cause issues and may require extra time (which we don't have) to reset or reinstall. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation
-
Dogs
We welcome all dogs. It’s a great area for dogs. Just remember to follow the local leash laws and be considerate of other animals in the area.
Please remember to use a bag for waste, just like you would at home. Be mindful that there are children playing in the area.
We greatly appreciate your respect in ensuring that dogs are not allowed on sofas or beds in any of our chalets. They should not be lying on their own blanket on the sofa or bed either. Dogs should only be on the floor.
It’s important to be considerate of the next renter, and we want our chalets to be well taken care of today and in the future.
-

There are designated waste disposal points where you can drop off sorted waste. REMEMBER that all waste must now be sorted, just like at home.

Snow Plowing
Snow plowing is provided to ensure safe access to the chalets during winter. The roads and driveways leading to the property are cleared regularly, but it is important to be aware that heavy snowfall can sometimes cause delays in plowing. Please ensure your vehicle is parked in designated areas to avoid obstruction during snow removal.
If there are specific issues related to snow plowing, please contact for assistance.
If there is heavy snowfall, please contact us in advance. During heavy snowfalls, it may take some time before the road is plowed.
When there is strong wind, snow can accumulate in two spots on the road. The rest of the road is usually passable.
Often, the easiest solution is to bring a snow shovel and clear the snow yourself rather than waiting for plowing.
This way, you'll also get some exercise and fresh air.
-
Smoking Cigarettes
Smoking is not allowed inside any of our chalets. Please smoke outside and be mindful of others, especially children who may be in the area. Dispose of cigarette butts properly in designated bins to keep the environment clean and safe.
We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a pleasant and smoke-free indoor environment for all guests.
Our chalets are completely smoke-free. Smoking has not been allowed inside the chalet, and we wish to continue this practice.
Please use an appropriate ashtray and be sure not to throw cigarette butts or snus pouches on the ground. Even though there may be snow, cigarette butts will not disappear. Please respect that other families will be arriving after you.
Unfortunately, we’ve had some cases of this, and it’s unpleasant to have to pay for its removal.

Heating
Panorama 1474 is well-insulated and equipped with multiple heating sources to ensure a comfortable stay.
On the second floor, there is a top-model heat pump, while the first floor is heated with a wood stove. There is also a wood stove on the second floor for ambiance and coziness (Please note: This stove is not for heating and should be used gently).
Underfloor heating is installed throughout the first floor and in the bathrooms and toilets on the second floor. Heating on the top floor is typically unnecessary, as it has a heat distribution system with air channels.
There are also panel heaters where needed, along with a portable heater placed in Bedroom 3 on the top floor.
If it's cold outside, as it often is in the mountains, the best heating source is the wood stove on the first floor. Start with a gentle fire. Once the stove is warm, you can add more wood to ensure even heat distribution throughout the cabin via the heat distribution system.
A supply of firewood is included in the rental agreement, depending on the season and length of stay. Additional firewood can be purchased or ordered from Nærbutikken Uvdal – Tel: 32743604.
Please be aware that Panorama 1474 is a large cabin, and if all heating sources are turned on at the same time, along with the steam bath, sauna, hot water tank, ovens, cooktops, and Jacuzzi, it could overload the system.
